Questions
What does an executor do?
Gathers assets, pays valid debts and taxes, and distributes what is left as the will directs, under the probate court's supervision when required.
Is the executor checklist sold separately?
It is included in the binder, which also gives the executor the account and document information they need.
Does the executor pay debts personally?
Generally no; debts are paid from the estate. Ask an attorney about your state.
